MALLAIG
The Harry Potter fan in me always wanted to go over the Glenfinnan viaduct, the most beautiful bridge that in the films, the Hogwarts Express crosses on its way to Hogwarts. Finally having the chance to do it was the best decision I’ve ever made, and in the end seeing the viaduct was only a small part of an incredible trip.
The train we took started from Fort William and ended in Mallaig. I don’t think I have ever said wow so many times in one day in my life. The views were outstanding for the whole journey and our destination, Mallaig, was beautiful. It’s a small seaside town with a gorgeous harbour area. From the sea wall, you can see across to the Isles of Eigg, Rum and Skye, a view that I will never forget (and one that I really didn’t want to leave behind).
There were 2 benches we found in Mallaig and they were two of the most intricate I have seen. One was overlooking the harbour, where we saw some seals and one was by the train station, looking out to sea.
