Callendar House is a 14th Century French Chateau styled house located in Falkirk. The grounds of the house has lots of woodland walks, a small lake with boats to hire and also contains a section of the Roman Antonine Wall, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Within the house there is a museum dedicated to the history of the house, the Antonine Wall and the area of Falkirk which is interesting to have a walk around. There is also a beautiful afternoon tea room (which was the main reason we visited in the first place) with views looking over the parkland. It’s a real hidden gem that I hadn’t heard of before I looked into it a bit further, and somewhere I would recommend for a visit (and the afternoon tea was amazing 😍)
