England
So what to say about England? The diversity of the landscapes is incredible, from mystical and historic ruins to vibrant, modern cities; majestic castles and stately homes to quaint cottages and houseboats; far stretching beaches to dense forests and countryside, England really does offer everything.
Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to visit many places and fallen in love with more than I can name. I fall in love with London a little more every time I visit – there always seems somewhere new to discover. The Midlands will always have a special part of me, having been born in Warwickshire, and I always feel happy there exploring its countryside and picturesque towns. The North will also be my place though – so many happy (yet hazy 🥴) memories of living in Carlisle; visits back there and I always feel a little bit like I’m home. And driving through the Lake District to get there is always incredible – the one place where rain (luckily) doesn’t stop play!
However my ultimate favourite place (and believe me it was hard to choose) would be Hadrians wall country. The countryside is breath-taking, the wall itself and the forts along it’s route are awe inspiring and whenever I visit, it always takes a lot to get me to leave. I can honestly say, if I had memory bench of my own in the future, this is definitely where I would like it to be.
