Other Memorials
As well as memory benches, on my travels I have seen other ways that people use to remember their loved ones, such as trees.
This page is dedicated to those different types of memorials.
Dog Memorial
I found this at Greenway Country Park, which shows that it not only people that have a special place in people’s hearts.

Gate
This plaque was located on the gate near the end of the Roaches that leads the way towards Lud’s Church.

Orchard

Picnic Tables
As well as benches at Greenway, there was also a picnic table that had some memorials on that overlooked the reservoir.
Pier Plaque
This pier plaque can be found at the end of Bangor Pier in North Wales, and is in memory of Dan’s Grandmother.

Pit Wheel
This memorial can be found at Apedale Country Park, Staffordshire, honouring the miners of Staffordshire.

Trees

These two trees are placed at the Smokies Way car park, which is one of the car parks you can use to park at when walking or cycling the beautifully scenic Biddulph Valley way trail, a 4.5 mile old railway track running between Biddulph and Congleton which has been converted into a pathway.
This tree is planted on the golf course in Trentham, which has a public footpath across it with some fantastic views across Trentham (although remember to dodge stray balls when crossing!)

This decorated tree was by the river and tree stump was placed next to one of the benches at Dimmingsdale.

War Memorial
This beautiful tribute to a United States Air Force Pilot is near Nantwich Lake and is a tribute to his heroic actions during the Second World War.

Waymarkers
These memorial plaques were placed on some of the way markers at Dimmingsdale.
