Rosslyn Chapel
Rosslyn Chapel is a gem of a place not too far away from Edinburgh. The chapel was founded in 1446 and has a fascinating history with links to Oliver Cromwell. However more recently the Chapel is known for it’s role in the Dan Brown novel and follow up film adaptation of ‘The Da Vinci Code’.
The Chapel is much more than a film location though. Although small inside, the stone carvings are incredible to look at, as are the stained glass windows. There is a real sense of tranquility both inside the chapel and in the grounds and is definitely somewhere I would recommend someone visit if in the area.
